We just consigned “Roman Bridge Over the Tagus at Arzobispo Near Oropesa, Spain” 1973 by Donald Teague, N.A. (1897-1991). Teague was one of the great illustrators and watercolorists of the 20th century. After a long career in illustration (think of Teague as the Norman Rockwell of Western art), Teague moved to Carmel and began traveling the world painting fine art watercolors. The piece was purchased by a local doctor and his wife in Monterey, CA in 1973. This is a 20×30 full-sheet watercolor, in excellent original condition. We plan to reframe the watercolor in a gold leaf frame by Mayen-Olson Frame Makers, in Irvine, CA, and change the glass to the state-of-the-art Optium non-reflective, UV protective Plexiglas.
